We just got word from our folks at TBS that they have just acquired Ice Cube's new television version of the film Are We There Yet?. According to TBS the show will be loosely based on the film with some slight character changes and characters, and they are going to pick up 10 episodes with an option of 90 more if successful. The show is slated to launch in June 2010.We hear that Ice Cube’s production company Cube Vision is set to produce, while Ali LeRoi (of Everybody Hates Chris fame) will write the show.
Actor Terry Crews (of Everybody Hates Chris fame) is set to start in the show as Nick with occasional appearances from Ice Cube. No other actor has been attached to the project yet, but we hear that Cube plans to add a couple of comics to the show.
