Our sources have discovered that Codeblack Entertainment is jumping into the comedy game heavily. Here is what we have discovered; besides the new comedy series currently on Showtime titled The All Star Comedy Jam hosted by Cedric The Entertainer, and the filming of the second installment of the series to be filmed at the upcoming 13th annual American Black Film Festival, we have heard that Codeblack is looking to launch a 10 episode comedy series that will be 30 minute specials highlighting fresh new comedy faces. No word yet on what network it will debut on, but our money is that there is a good shot of it debuting on Showtime.
Codeblack teamed up with basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal to present the All-Star Comedy Jam series. The series recaptures the spirit of past successful franchises like The Kings of Comedy series, and features some of today's hottest urban comics. It also provides the up-and-coming comedians with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and perform alongside the stalwarts of comedy.
