The Game Goes Into Overtime on BET!

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Black Entertainment Television is in talks with CBS TV Studio (Producers of the former CW show The Game) about ordering a new season of the multicamera comedy show in May after three seasons.Series creator Mara Brock Akil in April pitched CW an hourlong version of the show as a way of to keep it on the network, which was exiting the half-hour comedy business.

Following the show's cancellation, BET began preliminary talks with CBS Studios about possibly taking in the series with new originals. The cable net already runs repeats of of the show. The options on the Game actors have lapsed, so if a deal is reached with BET, CBS Studios would have to make new pacts with them.
