Richard Pryor Biopic Set To Finally Start Filming!
As many of you probably know by now, comedian Mike Epps was originally cast in the title role while Pryor was still alive, but the role eventually went to Eddie Murphy when Director Bill Condon discovered that Murphy was interested in the part.
After creative difference between Murphy and the film’s producer’s, Murphy bowed out of the film and then cast Marlon Wayans in the title role after what is believed to be one of the hottest auditions Hollywood has seen in awhile. As a matter of fact, according to many published reports, Wayans did so well during that audition, that currently the talk in Hollywood is he will “make Richard Pryor proud of his performance.”
The film titled Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said? will start shooting in the fall with a projected released date of early next spring. As of this writing, no other parts have been cast in this film.

Eddie Murphy Out Of Trump Heist- Ben Stiller In
This film would have followed another recent remake that recently starred actors George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and the late Bernie Mac (just to name a few).
Anyway, there is some new breaking news; and this will surprise you.
We just discovered the lead role of the film that had Eddie Murphy set to star in is now with a new leading man as Murphy has bowed out of the project. He was replaced by comedic actor Ben Stiller.
The film also was to be directed by Brett Ratner and also was set to star Chris Rock and Chris Tucker. As of this writing the film is drastically changing with the addition of Stiller to the cast. A new script will be written and will likely have a different feel than previously intended. No word yet if Rock or Tucker is pulling out, but there is several indications that this will happen.
The new version of the film was set to be about a group of con-men who devise a plan to swindle the residents of New York's upscale Trump Tower, where they also work. The working title of the film was to be titled Trump Heist, but that name has also changed to Tower Heist.
Anyway, we will have more info on this as it develops.
