We just discovered from our sources that there is about to be an urban version of
The View,
ABC’s very successful day time talker. We hear that the hosts for the new show (tentatively titled
The Mix), are
Vivica A. Fox, Tony Rock, Miguel Nunez, Melysssa Ford, and
Sheryl Underwood is created and executive produced by
Michael Mcquarn (who currently is producing
Tyrese Gibson’s new show on
BET titled
First In) and
Tracey Edmonds, and written by comedian
Chris Spencer. The show’s first guest is rapper/actor
Mos Def and the pilot is currently being shopped to the networks.
Did yall see my vlog on this? Go to my facebook or youtube page...Road To A JOB - Ep. 4. I was at the taping.
ReplyDeleteWow I hope it gets picked up!
ReplyDeleteSounds horrible, too many Divas and no real talking heads.
ReplyDeleteThe cast doesn't excite me at all. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteNice idea, but I think it would sell better if there was a Latina woman! You need that contrast and conflict of interest to give us excitement to watch--a Latina gives another slant on any topic--and she also brings to the show a whole gang of Latino audience to help make this show successful--DUH! I would say maybe include a white chick that's 'down' or urban. After all, it's more of an 'urban' talk show than a 'Black' show, right? Then you need a Latina and an urban white chick to round it out. We like Tony Rock, and we know Sheryl brings the funny and the 'real' side, but what would Miguel and Melysssa contribute? He's just taking up a spot and Melysssa is just a pretty face---NOT needed! Replace Miguel with a Latina chick--replace Melysssa with a cool urban white chick and you got a good show that I know people would definitely watch! Remember, there has to be some real conversation and knowledge to make this work---make sure these folk can say more than 'ya know what I mean?'.
ReplyDeleteUMMMMMM......WHICH ONE OF THESE DUCKS IS DOING HER OWN THING?????.....MELISSA FORD???? I VOTE NO SO MANY TIMES. I AM SO SICK OF EVERY "BLACK OR URBAN" VERSION OF SHOWS THAT I LOVE INCLUDING "LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL (EVEN SLUTTY)" BLACKS AND ACTING LIKE ITS THE SAME SHOW!!!!!!! NO! ITS NOT!
