The shocking news about this is that both of these shows are new for BET in the scripted arena.
Under the deal with Flavor Unit, the company has come on board to produce its first scripted comedy project, titled Let’s Stay Together. The new show is written and exec produced by Jacque Edmonds Cofer, and is a romantic comedy starring Malinda Williams (of Showtime's Soul Food fame) and Bert Belasco. We hear that the show is set for a launch in January 2011.
But that's not it for the Flavor Unit, as we hear they will also produce the new film titled The Cookout 2, which is a sequel to The Cookout.
We hear that the new show The Game, which was created by Mara Brock Akil, is slated to re-launch in September 2011.

Chris Rock Agrees To New Remake Film Titled High And Low
Rock stated that he has agreed to write and possibly star in a new screenplay, which we later discovered was intended for playwright David Mamet titled High and Low and would have Mike Nichols attached, who was brought on to direct.
We discovered that the film is another remake which is a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s acclaimed 1963 detective thriller High and Low, and follows a wealthy executive whose son has been kidnapped. He’s prepared to pay the ransom using funds he needs for a critical corporate buyout. But, before he can send the payment, he realizes the kidnappers have mistakenly abducted the child of his chauffeur and thus the decision becomes much more complicated.
Mamet was commissioned to pen the first draft of the screenplay more than ten years ago by then producer Martin Scorsese.

Martin Lawrence To Shoot A Concert Film?
Now, even though this story has yet to be confirmed we do know that Lawrence just wrapped his Doin' Time Comedy Tour and we know that after wrapping up the tour in the smaller markets he is planning on launching the tour in the major markets, and POSSIBLY go overseas even though the trek to go overseas hasn’t panned out yet.
If the rumors are true, expect his Production Company Runteldat to produce the film which will probably be shot in a major market, maybe Washington DC.
Up next for Lawrence is Death At A Funeral which opens nationwide April 16th with Chris Rock and Tracy Morgan, then off to Atlanta to film Big Momma’s; Like Father Like Son, and the Sheneneh and Wanda film also starring Jamie Foxx.

Big Momma's House 3 Casting Almost Complete & About To Film!
We hear that joining Lawrence and Brandon T Jackson are actors Faizon Love, Emily Rios, Portia Doubleday and Michelle Ang.
As we reported a couple of weeks ago, Jackson (of Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and the upcoming Lottery Ticket) joined the cast as Lawrence’s son and will also don the infamous fat suit. Jessica Lucas (of Cloverfield fame) also joined the cast in the third installment which is now titled Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. So far, the actress who is noticeably absent from the casting is actress Nia Long who played Lawrence’s love interest in the previous films.
If you recall, the Big Momma’s House franchise is about an FBI agent who wears drag and goes undercover to crack certain cases.
As we stated weeks ago, Big Momma’s House 3 is about Big Momma (Lawrence) and Charmaine (Jackson) go undercover at an all-girls performing-arts school to unmask a murderer. Love will play Kurtis Kool, a school security guard and former Run-D.M.C. roadie who becomes smitten with Big Momma. Rios, Doubleday and Ang will play students at the school who befriend Jackson's character.
The film begins shooting this month in Atlanta at the private, all-girls Agnes Scott College.
We hear up next for Lawrence is the rest of his Doin' Time Comedy Tour which is about to hit the major markets, and the Sheneneh and Wanda film also starring Jamie Foxx in the female characters they developed for their respective television shows. We even hear that there is some even bigger news about to drop from Lawrence’s camp and as soon as we confirm we will release it, so stay tuned!

Tisha Campbell-Martin and Duane Martin Land In Two New Comedy TV Shows!
Wright vs. Wrong also stars actress Debra Messing (of Will and Grace and The Starter Wife fame) as Evelyn Wright, a strong-minded, ambitious political personality who appears tough and espouses a right-wing agenda but behind the scenes is consumed by her foibles and flaws.
Campbell-Martin, will play Evelyn's stylist, who can't name the Vice President but knows all the Hollywood gossip.
The new show Next stars comedic actor Paul Reiser in the show which is also semi-autobiographical as a former television star and family man dealing with life's day-to-day conundrums.
Expect both shows to drop this fall.

*** Ah SKIT- It's Friday!***New Episode- Chris Rock's Crackers!
In 2004 Chris Rock and his writers from the Chris Rock Show wrote a parody version of OutKast’s “Hey Ya!,” their smash hit from the year before. The video for the parody was filmed but never released until now, thanks to the folks at World Star Hip Hop. We are not sure how Rock would feel about this being released now, but we can say that there are alot of feathers being ruffled now as many believe this to be racist. What do you think? Its just a joke right?

As we reported several months ago, it now seems that the new film titled Fantasy Basketball Camp, from Universal-Imagine (which is a new sports comedy to which James is attached), has even bigger news as it finally landed a director in Malcolm D. Lee (of The Best Man, Soul Men, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins fame). Also, writer Peter Steinfeld has come aboard to write the new draft which we heard needed it. What’s even bigger news is the film was picked up to be produced by Brian Grazer.
