More Bad News Again For Katt Williams?!!

According to local reports out of Shreveport, LA., it looks like there is more bad news regarding Katt Williams.

We just discovered that the City of Shreveport, Louisiana and a group of local promoters planned on producing a show with Katt Williams titled The Katt Williams Experience this past weekend. But the show never happened.

According to several local news outlets and the promoters of the show, Katt Williams showed up to the event on Sunday morning, expecting to do a show that day after the original show on Friday was rescheduled because of Williams’ no show.

After officials first decided to move the rescheduled show to Saturday, the show was eventually cancelled because of lost communication between all of the parties involved; the promoters, the city officials and the Shreveport Convention Center.

What makes this story even worse is the City of Shreveport had a local bid for The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), (which is is a college athletic conference that would have bought millions to the local economy), but now the officials who were in town to see the show have decided that Shreveport will NOT be in the running for the SWAC conference (a bid that the City had to hold SWAC there) because of many factors, and this being one of the highlighted reasons.

Anyway, as of this writing the news outlets are reporting that Katt Williams is still in Shreveport waiting for the rescheduled show- which the promoters state is NOT happening.

Dating Film Titled Computer Love Turns Heads- Here's The Tralier!

We just discovered that a new independent film titled Computer Love is set to be released. Produced by a an award-winning collective of Philadelphia bred filmmakers and directed by city native and Temple University alumnus, Mike Pender, Computer Love tells the story of a heart-broken author’s (Kwe Reid) wild, and at times scary, foray into the world of internet dating. While looking for love and affection, Kwe encounters a motley crew of female companions and ends up finding a lot more than he had bargained for. The film was shot entirely on location in Philadelphia and stars emerging area actors Atif Lanier (Kwe), Lee Mekhai and Nicole L. Tucker.

Computer Love’s creators feel that the film’s subject matter is not only entertaining, but couldn’t be more timely. Pender says, “Because people are so busy these days, online dating isn’t just a trend anymore. Online Dating Magazine reported that more than 20 million Americans visit at least one online dating service once a month. Dating websites spent over $400 million dollars on advertising last year and there are millions of users on MySpace and Facebook every day, so I feel that our film is extremely relevant right now.”

Following the Philadelphia premiere, Computer Love will be showing at various theaters across the country and be featured at several major upcoming film festivals. It will also be available on DVD.

The Computer Love World Premiere is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM On April 8, 2010, and tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at www.ComputerLovetheMovie.com or at the door.

Tracy Morgan Cops Out To 2 New Films!

We just discovered from our source that comedian and actor Tracy Morgan is about to sign on another comedy film titled ID Theft, which is a comedy that casts him as a cash-strapped father who sees a shortcut out of his struggles when the credit card of a suburban dad lands in his lap.

The script is being written by Colin Jost and Rob Klein, from an original pitch by Kristofor Brown. Morgan has given his own notes to the screenwriters, and 3 Arts and American Work are producing.

But that’s not all for Morgan; we hear that Paramount Studios separately has Morgan set to star with actor TJ Miller in a new film titled Freshman Roommates, and we hear they are also making plans to line up ANOTHER film right after that for Morgan. No word yet on what that film will be.

As you know by now, Morgan is starring in the new buddy cop film titled Cop Out with Bruce Willis, in theaters now.
