The REAL Story Behind Katt Williams' Arrest!!!

As you have probably heard by now, actor and comedian Katt Williams was arrested and now is still behind bars in Atlanta after police said they arrested the entertainer for breaking into a home and stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and coins.

Williams, is charged with burglary and criminal trespassing, according to Coweta County Sheriff's Office Maj. James Yarbrough.

A Coweta County magistrate set bond at more than $41,000 Monday afternoon, and as of this writing is still behind bars preparing to be released.

Yarbrough said the Sunday night incident happened at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Yarbrough said the victim — identified in a police report as Daniel Broach — called police around 9 p.m. to report the comedian broke into his home and stole items. You may have also heard that Williams had a crowbar when he entered and is accused of taking $3,555 in jewelry and collectable coins.

Now here's what REALLY happened; Williams was a GUEST of the home and wandered off to another part of the home, and the alarm went off and the police were called to the scene. After a confrontation with the police and Williams trying to explain being at the home for rest and relaxation (he has been working on a film for the past 3 weeks) the police were bothered by the fact that the alarm went off. Since there was no immediate explanation of the alarm sounding, the police decided to arrest Williams at the scene. Williams was also with a couple of others who were present at the time of the arrest and more details of this are sure to surface soon. As of this writing we we discovered that Williams is the one who called the police, but we are trying to confirm that.

Anyway, there will be more details as this story develops.

Tracy Morgan & Spike Lee Team Up For Comedy Concert Film To Be Released in Theaters!

After a very long drought of comedy concert films being released in theaters, today we discovered-and confirmed via his twitter account- that comedian and actor Tracy Morgan will be filming a concert film with Director Spike Lee at Carnegie Hall this Friday.

Surprisingly, this news came to us rather quickly; especially after we discovered the news and reported yesterday that comedian DeRay Davis will be filming his concert comedy film sometime next month with Director John Singleton.

Anyway, it seems that GQ Magazine reported this last month and that news about Morgan’s performance has flown under the radar nationally as he has prepared for the film and is currently on a book tour. We hear that Morgan was extremely brief about his plans for Friday but is very excited about this upcoming performance.

Morgan, currently on NBC’s 30 Rock has written a book titled, "I Am The New Black" which is an autobiography and is in book stores now. He is also starring in the upcoming film Nailed with Jessica Biel and James Marsden, and the comedy ensemble film titled Death At A Funeral with Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, Regina Hall, and Kevin Hart just to name a few.

John Singleton Tackles Comedy Concert Film With Comedian DeRay Davis

We have just discovered from our sources that director John Singleton has his next project and its not the A-Team as reports would have lead you at one time to believe- even though they are filming that movie now; but is a comedy concert film.

We discovered that Singleton has decided to film comedian DeRay Davis’ stand-up performance (yet to be titled) and release it nationally, and not as a DVD for the video store but as the first stand up film in years to be released theatrically. As of this writing, rumor has it that the film will be shot next month.

Davis, you may recall, recently featured his comedic performance in Shaq’s Comedy All Stars on Showtime and was in several films such as Imagine That (starring Eddie Murphy), Semi-Pro (starring Will Ferrell) and Code Name: The Cleaner (with Cedric The Entertainer) just to name a few . Davis is currently filming Life As We Know It starring Katherine Heigl, Christina Hendricks, Josh Duhamel and Josh Lucas.

Anyway, more on this story as it develops.

Mo'Nique Has The HOTTEST Oscar Buzz For Her Role In Precious!

The last couple of days we have noticed that there is quite a lot of Oscar buzz, and this week, it seems that the buzz in the Hollywood industry has gotten a little louder. We can say for certain that our Hollywood insiders have started to take notice of Lee Daniels' new film titled Precious: Based on Push a Novel by Sapphire as it has been winning over audiences since it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last January. The drama featured a strange cast of some experienced and some inexperienced actors including Mo'Nique, Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey as they stunned the Sundance faithful during its world premiere.

Anyway, since the film premiered in January, Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry got behind the film as Producers to support the film, and most recently things have really started to spin out of control for the film, as we heard tonight that the comedian Mo’Nique is a shoo-in for an Oscar nod, which would make her the first ever African American female comedian in over a decade since Whoopi Goldberg to be nominated for an Oscar!

Sure. this could change between now and December when the Academy casts their votes, but as of this writing Mo'Nique is in the lead for Best Supporting Actress.

The film Precious: Based on Push a Novel by Sapphire opens in select theaters November 6th.

The George Lopez Late Night Show Prepares For Battle!

We hear that TBS is pulling out all the stops for the new George Lopez late night talk show, titled Lopez Tonight, airing November 9 at 11PM. Lopez has a star studded cast to set things off, and is coming out with all guns blazing. His upcoming guests include Ellen DeGeneres, Eva Longoria-Parker Kobe Bryant, Sandra Bullock, Ray Romano, Jamie Foxx, Jessica Alba, Charlie Sheen, Queen Latifah, Marc Anthony, Ted Danson, Andy Garcia, Larry David, Taylor Lautner, Oscar de la Hoya, Kelly Osbourne, Floyd Mayweather, Eva Mendes, Arsenio Hall and Kathy Griffin among others.

Here is an interesting note: When Lopez Tonight was originally scheduled it was planned to be aired at 11:30 PM weeknights not to conflict with The Mo’Nique Show which currently airs on BET and stars comedian Mo'Nique at the same time slot. Along the way, the TBS Network decided that since the show would capture a completely different audience they moved the show to the 11 o’clock time slot, as they were more concerned about the new Tonight Show that features Conan O’Brien. Anyway, the late night battle continues as Lopez launches his show and as Wanda Sykes will join the fray week nights beginning Nov. 7th on FOX with The Wanda Sykes Show.

Is The White Shadow Coming Back To TV?

Our sources have revealed to us that there is going to be a new version of the very short lived but popular 1978 dramatic series The White Shadow coming to television, and with a new name.

In case you are not familiar with the series The White Shadow, it starred Ken Howard as Ken Reeves, a white former NBA professional who retired from the pro game and got a job as a basketball coach in a predominantly black inner-city high school. The series developed into how a white coach tried to teach his players about life, and how to deal with real life issues.

Anyway, we hear the new series is co-executive produced, written by and directed by actor Larry B. Scott (of Revenge Of The Nerds fame and The Karate Kid fame), with the show to be titled My New Life. The show is still rounding out the new cast but we hear Olivia Brown (of Miami Vice fame), Jazsmin Lewis (Of Barbershop and Three Can Play That Game fame) and Eddie Valez (of General Hospital) is attached so far.

As the news develops on this show we will bring it to you, including which network you can catch it on.

Barbershop 3 Finally Gets A Green Light!

We just discovered from our sources that it looks like the long rumored film Barbershop 3 is finally moving forward. There has been no official word from the studio, but our sources tell us that the film is in the works. As of this writing no one –including Ice Cube and Cedric The Entertainer- has been attached to the film as of yet, and we are not sure if there is a scrip yet, but we do know that the studio has expressed extreme interest in bringing back the entire cast for the film, and has finally gave the film the green light.

In case you missed the two previous films made in 2002 and 2004, the Barbershop films are basically about a day in the life of a barbershop on the south side of Chicago. The lead character Calvin (portrayed by Ice Cube), inherits the struggling business from his deceased father, views the shop as nothing but a burden and waste of his time. After selling the shop to a local loan shark, Calvin slowly begins to see his father's vision and legacy and struggles with the notion that he just sold it out. The barbershop is filled with characters who share their stories, jokes, trials and tribulations.

In the shop there is Eddie (Cedric The Entertainer), an old barber with strong opinions and no customers. Jimmy (Sean Patrick Thomas) is a highly educated barber with a superiority complex who can't stand Isaac (Troy Garrity), the new, white barber who just wants a shot at cutting some hair. Ricky (Michael Ealy) is an ex-con with two strikes against him and is desperately trying to stay straight. Terri (Eve) is a hard-edged woman who can't seem to leave her two-timing boyfriend. And lastly there's Dinka (Leonard Earl Howze), a fellow barber who is madly in love with Terri but doesn't get the time of day.
