Actor Keith Robinson Prepares To Drop Hot New R&B Album

Our sources have told us that actor Keith Robinson is definitely one to watch out for in the next couple of months. Why do we say that, you ask? Well, we hear that Robinson, probably best known for his role in Dreamgirls (The Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy, Jennifer Hudson film) and This Christmas (the Chris Brown, Idris Elba, Laz Alonso lead film) is about to switch it up a little bit and join the ranks of actor- turned- singer. As we all witnessed in Dreamgirls, Robinson can sing, and we are about to see him show off his skills again as he is about to drop a new album yet to be titled.

Robinson is gearing up to release such future hits like “DJ Lady” and “Gurl” and we hear that he is about drop the album soon.

Robinson is not going to let you forget that he is also an actor, as he is about to drop several new films such as Dear John, When The Lights Go Out, Caught On Tape and Hopelessly in June. All of these films are scheduled to drop soon.

Eddie Murphy & Mike Epps Out, Marlon Wayans Lands Role Of Richard Pryor

As we reported a couple of months ago about comedic actor Eddie Murphy walking away from the Richard Pryor film along with Paramount, it now looks like the Execs quickly moved in to get someone else to replace him, and it looks like that person is comedic actor Marlon Wayans.

To quickly get you up to speed, comedic actor Mike Epps was originally attached but the producers discovered that Eddie Murphy wanted to play Pryor and once that happened, the deal was quickly closed. But once production started word leaked that there were some creative differences and Murphy lost interest in their direction of the film.

Now Director Bill Condon ( of Dreamgirls fame) is still moving forward with Richard Pryor, but as we stated Murphy is out and so are Paramount Pictures and Fox Searchlight.

As the producers set up a new casting call, it seems Marlon Wayans emerged in the lead role. Wayans so impressed producers of the film with his dramatic audition featuring two scenes directly from the film that he landed the part.

In also more surprising move, we also discovered that the film will be produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions at Sony Pictures.

Oprah Winfrey & Chris Rock Team Up For New Comedy Film

We just discovered from our spies over at Lionsgate Films (and our friends at Variety)that Lionsgate plans to partner with Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Films to acquire rights to the GQ Magazine article that was titled Will You Be My Black Friend?”

For those of us who have no idea what the article was about, it was a very funny account by writer Devin Friedman (senior correspondent at GQ) about his stupid attempt to make friends with people of color.

It turns out that this film is going to be developed as a star vehicle for comedian and actor Chris Rock.

After a cocktail party, the writer has an epiphany that his entire social circle is the same color, and the white writer tries to make an attempt to make black friends, down to soliciting prospective pals in a Craigslist ad.

He later discovers that race aside, it is very difficult to make meaningful friends later in life.

The film will be produced by Winfrey, Kate Forte and Carla Gardini.

So, the door is not completely closed -or open- to Lawrence hitting the stage for a national tour. We can say this; we will ask him again in a couple of weeks and get back to you on the scoop!
