Is There About To Be A Queens Of Comedy ReUnion?!

Its seems that the news out of Mo’Nique’s camp isn’t slowing down anytime soon. As we stated in our post yesterday, Mo'Nique is preparing for her Oct. 5th launch of her BET talk show titled The Mo’Nique Show. So far, her line up for her first week is stellar.
As we reported, Mo’Nique intends to dedicate a show to Arsenio Hall, plus she landed a very rare interview with Morris Chestnut and David E. Talbert as they discuss Talbert's upcoming DVD release of his blockbuster play titled Love In The Nick Of Tyme.

Today she taped an episode dedicated to relationships with her guests that included actors Hill Harper discussing his new book titled The Conversation, and Boris Kodjoe with wife Nicole Ari Parker.

But the biggest bombshell we discovered today was that Mo’Nique is planning on dedicating a show to the Queens Of Comedy, Ms. Laura Hayes, Adele Givens and Sommore. If you remember The Queens Of Comedy Tour, originally produced by Walter Latham, was ultimately captured live onstage in Memphis during their triumphant and filmed for a theatrical release.

Anyway, as of this writing we hear that the reunion show will be broadcast in October. Stay tuned!

Mo'Nique's Lands Morris Chestnut & David E. Talbert For Late Nite Show

It looks like Mo’nique is pulling out all the stops for her new late night show on Black Entertainment Television.

As we previously reported, the Queen of Comedy will headline The Mo’Nique Show, a late night talk show premiering October 5th as part of BET’s new fall lineup.

Last week, word trickled down on some of the guests she is planning on having, and last week’s big bomb shell was news of an entire show dedicated to Arsenio Hall, and his years as a late night host.

Today, our sources have discovered that she is stepping up to the plate to hit another home run. This time, Mo’Nique has strategically landed Morris Chestnut and David E. Talbert just in time as they are launching the media campaign for the DVD release of Talbert’s blockbuster play Love In The Nick of Tyme. It seems Chestnut and Talbert will be featured on multiple segments of the show which will be dedicated to the play, their working relationship, upcoming projects, and Chestnut’s theatrical stage debut in Love In The Nick Of Tyme.

Love In The Nick Of Tyme is set in a salon on the South Side of Chicago and is a magical story of love lost and found. The cast also includes R&B singer Avant, TV actress Ellia English of The Jamie Foxx Show fame, former American Idol contestant Trenyce, and singer Vivian Green who penned the music.

Duane & Tisha Campbell-Martin Welcome New Addtiton To Family

We want to congratulate Tisha and Duane Martin as they had an addition to their family last night. It seems that the new baby boy, named Ezekiel "Zeke" Martin was welcomed into the world and is doing fine.

Duane is probably best known for his stint in the UPN sitcom All Of Us, and his wife Tisha is best known for the sitcom Martin and the ABC sitcom My Wife & Kids. Despite all of the internet rumors that have been floating around for years about them breaking up (which have always been false) their family is looking good and growing.

Mike Epps Tapped To Host BET Hip Hop Awards!

Well, it looks like Katt Williams is out, and Mike Epps is in. Yep, after all of the back stage drama from last year's Hip Hop Awards, we discovered today that comedic actor Mike Epps has been named host of the 4th Annual BET Hip-Hop Awards slated to air Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. The award show will be taped Oct. 10 at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta.

What is strange to us is that Katt Williams has hosted the three previous seasons and we were told he was not asked to host this year's event.

That's not all for Mike Epps, as we have also learned that Epps will star in Showtime's one-hour standup comedy special, Mike Epps' Under-rated and Never Faded: Live from Detroit premiering on Saturday, Oct. 3.

There is more news about to be released soon and we will have more info on this shortly.
