New Urban 3-D Animation Series Titled "Da Jammies" Launches!
Veteran television producer Ralph Farquhar and production partner Dwayne Corbitt of FarCor Studios recently announced a pact with distributor TF1 International for overseas distribution of their latest project Da Jammies, a new 3D animated music series, to the animation industry and fans during a panel presentation at the 2009 Comic-Con convention. TF1 will launch the series at the next MIPCOM and MIPCOM Junior World Entertainment Content Market in Cannes, France held October 3 – 9, 2009.
The producer of such Disney hits as The Proud Family and Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, Farquhar’s ground-breaking new animated sitcom was developed in partnership with Toon Farm, LLC and is set to redefine the genre with its fresh new approach to quality urban family programming.
Combining hip-hop dance, music and fashion in a way never before seen in animation, Da Jammies follows five diverse ‘tweens from the suburbs who attend a performing arts middle school. Novelist, Dolla, MoMo, Seven and LaLa study singing, dancing and music in hopes of one day achieving their dreams of superstardom – and learn big life lessons along the way. Da Jammies tackles the sometimes difficult life lessons of growing up today, yet never loses its fun, engaging approach.
“The whole concept of urban family entertainment that reflects the lifestyle and musical tastes of multicultural families has been largely ignored by the industry,” said executive producer Farquhar. "We're programming for an underserved audience, armed with beats and stories that the entire family can sit down and enjoy together.”
Annabel Bighetti, Senior Executive VP Sales and Acquisitions for TF1 International stated, “We’re thrilled to offer to the international market this new 3D animation series about multicultural kids attending a performing arts middle school, who sing, dance, rap and dream of becoming famous.”
Domestically, the studio is in negotiations with several networks to air the 13-episode series. Viewers can log onto http://www.4kids.tv/da-jammies to watch a complete episode, give feedback and cast their votes to see Da Jammies on the CW 4 Kids programming lineup.
Da Jammies was developed by Ralph Farquhar and Dwayne Corbitt for FarCor Studios, created by Aulsondro “Novelist” Hamilton and William “Dolla” Chapman II and produced by Kathleen Zuelch.

Late Nite's New Urban Look Coming Soon!
Well, this year it looks like there is a new crop of comics set to launch a new late night talker in the fall. First up is the George Lopez show titled Lopez Tonight, set to be broadcast on TBS with a launch date of Nov. 9th. Lopez's show will air weeknights at 11PM and will air a half-hour earlier than The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien and Late Show With David Letterman, and is strategically placed to begin as the new Jay Leno Show ends its national broadcast.
The next late night talker is from comedian Wanda Sykes, with her own show titled The Wanda Sykes Show, launches her own style of weekly talk show on Nov. 7th on FOX.
Finally, there is the show from BET titled The Mo’Nique Show hosted by the comedian and actress Mo’Nique. The show, beginning production in the next month or so, will air on BET this fall and will be set to air Monday thru Friday. No time yet set for when the show will be broadcast.
Hopefully this will not be a repeat of 1998 when all of the shows that year were cancelled because of weak ratings, or because of celebrity boycotts, which resulted in weak ratings for some shows. Anyway, one thing is for certain; we will be watching!

Katt Williams NOT Bankrupt- Bashed By Ex Employees!!!

Furthermore, our investigation has uncovered that these were individuals who set out to discredit Katt Williams, and for the purpose of our involvement in this matter we apologize on reporting this about Katt Williams, and also apologize for any harm this may have done to him or his family. We had the audacity to print this story that we thought was coming from reliable sources (as they were reliable in the past), so we’d better have the audacity to apologize.

Katt Williams Files For Bankruptcy!

This is just some of the latest news that has developed from his camp. In the last 12 months Katt has made the news several times.
On Wednesday, November 5, 2008, he failed to appear as a scheduled guest on NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien. This was the first time this had happened on the show since its debut in 1993.
During the early morning of Thursday, November 6, 2008, Williams was arrested on weapons charges in midtown Manhattan after police say they pulled him over for driving a car without license plates. He was released on bail later that day in time for his show at Carnegie Hall.
The following day, at Williams' appearance at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Nov. 7, Katt announced that he would make his final stand up performance on December 31, 2008, citing wear and tear on the road, the need to keep his family together, and a desire to help young up-and-coming comedy acts get their start.
On December 31, 2008, while performing at a New Year's Eve show in Detroit, Katt Williams began to insult Steve Harvey (The Original Kings of Comedy) for calling himself an original king of comedy. Katt stated that Richard Pryor and Bill Cosby are the only original kings of comedy. He went on to say, "How can you be the original if you were not the first?"
Over the New Year weekend, Katt was slapped by a man at a club in Detroit while attempting to perform a freestyle. Katt claimed the altercation was over some jewels he was wearing.
Over the past several years, Katt Williams has been involved in several tours that have grossed over $50 million dollars and several months ago Katt turned down an offer from Comedy Central for over $50 million, not to mention his official retirement from doing stand up over the Christmas holidays.

DL Hughley Lands A New Radio Show

Hughley joins the ranks of fellow comedian Rickey Smiley, J Anthony Brown, and Steve Harvey as being a comedian on the radio although his show will not be syndicated.
Hughely accepts the role on the radio right after his wildly controversial show on CNN titled D.L. Hughley Breaks The News was cancelled- on the heels of stating that the Republican National Convention “literally look[s] like Nazi Germany”. Word is Hughley also approached CNN about being permanently based in Los Angeles, where his family lives. To accommodate this, CNN agreed upon a new role where he will be a contributor for the network based in Los Angeles despite his show being cancelled.
With KISS FM it looks like Hughley will be broadcasting from Los Angeles.

Eddie Murphy Out Of Beverly Hills Cop 4 & In Trump Heist

We can also say that Murphy loves the new script from Ratner titled Trump Heist (the movie that we mentioned months ago and is a Universal film). Murphy has agreed to star in that film as Ratner is currently trying to surround Murphy with a great cast, with actors like Sidney Poitier, Chris Tucker, and Chris Rock just to name a few. So far, no one but Murphy has agreed to star in the film but word is that Rock is officially close to signing on as well.
Trump Heist has been pitched as an urban version of Ocean’s 11, and is about the employees of the Trump Tower in New York who conspire to rip off the building's residents.
Stay tuned, as we will have more news on this story as it develops.
