Chris Rock's New Trailer For His Documentary Film

If you remember we reported several months ago comedic actor Chris Rock is taking a new venture- a new film titled Good Hair, to the big screen. Looks like Rock finally finished his documentary that examines the cultural pressures that forces black women into expensive, often painful methods to care for their hair. Rock said he first got the idea to explore the subject during a tour stop in Atlanta in the mid-1990s, when he came across a glitzy convention for black stylists known as the Bronner Brothers Hair Show.

The film follows Rock from the Bronner brothers show to neighborhood salons, businesses dealing in hair-care products and the streets of India, where the hair weave industry is rooted.

Rock recently screened the film at the Sundance Film Festival where it was received with an enthusiastic reception, bolstering his hopes that it can find a broad audience. Good Hair will be released in October in theaters.

Here is the trailer for the new film.
